Not yet

Please continue to pray to soften this judges' heart (or that she will get run over by a bus :) ). We completed our form and signed it today and Zhenia took it to the judge to see if she would give us a court date. She made him wait until the very end of business - 6:00. Today makes the 7th time she has told Zhenia to come back the next business day. In this case, the next business day is Tuesday, August 26th as Monday is a holiday. Our Appointment with the SDA was July 28th (30 days and counting). When she finally decides to grant us a court date we don't know how far out that will be. We do not have the resources or desires to stay in Ukraine indefinately.

Hey John and Sharon - Lisa emailed me the link to your blogspot, and I have been catching up on your plight. I just kept shaking my head in amazement as I read your tale of running into one brick wall after another (okay, so it is the same brick wall...and I hope she does not read your blog today!). It is hard to come up with some encouraging words that do not sound cliche...but hang in there! When you have made it through the valley you will be able to look back and understand why these struggles were necessary. You can already see what a blessing it was that Phillip and Cassie were not with you. I got to see them, by the way, when Lisa was here weekend before last. What an incredible job you guys have done raising them. I can certainly understand why God has chosen you to care for yet another one of His precious children. Keep using this time to share your faith with others and to strengthen your relationship with each other. Who knows when you will get to spend time alone together again!

I was searching for an encouraging verse that would bring you some peace, and I found an interesting one in James 1:27. It says, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." What a beautiful example of faith you are showing by welcoming Viktor into your family. Don't let the frustrations of the process pollute that faith. God is with you.

With love and prayers,
Vicki (and the Boring family)

Hi guys,
This is Kristi Click. Phillip told me about your blog yesterday after practice. I have enjoyed reading your "daily activities". I am so NOT good at computer stuff and this is the first blog I have ever been on, much less responded on. The first one that I typed to you guys got lost. I don't know what happened to it so if you get it as well, it will probably say much of the same thing I am saying now. Phillip did an outstanding job during the scrimmage! You would have been so proud! I just love him. He always has a smile on his face. He cracked me up after the 2nd scrimmage and he lost his crown because he smiled at me and I gasped and asked what happened. He smiled and said, "I didn't think I could get much uglier, but look." (only a good looking kid like him could say that and still smile). I want you guys to know that I have so much admiration for you two. I don't know if I would have the mental and physical stamina for what you are doing. I am asking prayer for you tomorrow in Sunday School. Good luck and God bless.
